Jake
UPDATE FROM ANDY & VAL
We're lucky enough to be fostering little Jake at the moment. It is very difficult to find any fault with him, and I know Pauline wanted to keep him for herself.
He is a lovely natured dog who gets on with other dogs, children and adults but I can't vouch for how he would be with cats.
He is a real dote and likes to be around people and people generally like to be around Jake. It is very difficult not to give him cuddle, he is just too cute.
His looks and health do him great credit and, although obviously not a youngster, he definitely does not look 10 years old.
He is housetrained, a dream on the lead and travels well in the car.
His only fault is that he is a bit of a fussy eater which is something of a novelty for us as we are used to fostering retrievers.
He isn't missing Dylan at all. In fact, he is very chilled, bless him
He has now happily gone to his forever home in Devon where he will live with his new very laid back retriever friend, Bonnie
This was him before embarking on his journey to his new life.
UPDATE 12.03.07
JAKE is enjoying his walks and swims and is getting happier as each day passes.
DEVASTATING NEWS
Despite continuing to live life to the full with Bob, little Jake started to eat less and less. The vet was baffled but finally reached a diagnosis of cancer.
Little Jake was given peace on Thursday 3rd May.
A huge thankyou to Bob and family for making Jake's last weeks so very special.
We are all totally devastated as everyone who met Jake totally fell in love with him. He was one of the nicest dogs you could ever wish to meet.
Sleep well darling boy.
