SANDY NOV 2011: SANDY HAS NOW GONE TO HIS FOREVER HOME
Sandie says: Sandy is supposed to be 6 years old, but again, I would think he's been around the block a few times and could be a bit older. I collected him at 9.30 last night and because I had nowhere to leave him, he slept in my (very large) spare bathroom. He was very quiet and clean during the night. I've introduced him to some of my dogs and he's fine, if somewhat indifferent to them - I'll introduce him to the others later when he's a bit more confident. He's had a good clipping, so must have been in quite a state. He's quite timid, has no idea of his name and doesn't know any basic commands - I'd say he's been left to his own devices a lot. This guy could be rehomed/fostered in any situation I would imagine - other dogs, kids, anything you'd throw at him I think he'd accept. He's a lovely boy.
Sandy came to us on 30/10/11. So far I have not found many problems.
He is fine with cats if they stand their ground, if they run he will follow them.
Sandy is brilliant with children and will happily let strange children stroke him while we are out walking. He walks well on the lead for John but will try to pull when I walk him.
My friend came round with six of her thirteen dogs and both 'Sandys' were well behaved and played nicely with the small dogs, including four poodles, a chinese crested and a chihuahua. I have also put a photo on with Sandy and one of my cats, this dog is such a very good boy. I have found that all the dogs get on well with moggies but not pedigree cats.
