Finn was surrendered because of a change in his owner's circumstances.
FOSTERER'S INITIAL REPORT - JANUARY 2012
FOSTERER'S REPORT - FEBRUARY 2012
Finn is a fantastic, friendly boy. When he met my grandchildren aged 6 and 9 he was amazing, playing and playing, no problems at all. He is full of energy and a bundle of fun. He wants constant affection, and would be brilliant in a family setting with more than one person to give him love and affection. Finn would play all day if you had the time.
Finn is your best friend when you are eating and gets as close to you as he possibly can to let you know he is waiting for any scraps.
He loves to run and run when out. There has been one issue with a Rottweiler bitch when they had a contretemps and it was difficult to ascertain who the aggressor was. But he played and ran with a Patterdale terrier for an hour and a half quite happily, seeing who could run the fastest I think.
Finn can get bored every now and then and decides that his bed will be shredded. He does not bark much at all, and at night he sleeps in the kitchen with the door closed and there is not a sound. He is a complete joy and is so full of life and a bundle of energy and I am sure will make a fantastic family pet.
HAVING SHOWN SOME DOG AGGRESSION (SEE ABOVE) FINN HAS BEEN TESTED IN A DIFFERENT FOSTERING ENVIRONMENT:
2ND FOSTERER'S REPORT - FEBRUARY 2012
I have found Finn is ok with other dogs as he will run and chase balls with my pack and will drop the ball and let the others take it away from him without any aggression at all.
Finn does still show some aggression if he is on a lead and other dogs come running around him. There are no real food agression problems at all. Whilst his first fosterer said he was good around children I have found he is but can also be quite territorial about his own bedding and whilst sleeping. With this in mind he would be more suited to a home with older children.
Finn needs more lead training as he does pull and he is a strong dog. On the whole Finn is a really nice dog, very friendly and full of life. Finn responds well to firmness. He is coping well here with 8 other dogs and I no longer have any problems with him.
FOSTERER'S REPORT - MARCH 2012
Last week a Labrador came to stay and Finn has shown no aggression at all towards him. Also, on Saturday we started to foster Cassidy and yet again, Finn has shown no aggression at all, so it could be that he hs overcome whatever it was that made him behave aggressively towards other dogs.
MAY 2012: FINN HAS GONE TO HIS FOREVER HOME
