FOSTERER'S 2nd REPORT – APRIL 2012
Maizy is growing fast and like a typical puppy is into everything. She is very confident with my dogs, she instigates most of the play fights.
Maizy loves her food and eats rather fast so I am trying so slow her down. She has had her 2nd vaccination now so she will be able to get out into the big world. The house training is going well; she’s not had an accident for about a week now. She doesn't bark to go out but rather wanders near the door. Her fear of being groomed with the slicker has now gone and she is quite happy to allow me to use it.
Maizy's commands are improving she will “sit”, “down”, “give a paw” and we are just learning “stay”. She knows her name; she understands "leave" and "drop" but does not always comply, just like any puppy. She does not like travelling, so this will have to be worked on slowly as she gets very stressed the minute the car door is opened. She will also refuse to walk between 2 parked cars, but is happy to walk past one car.
Whenever Maizy has met my grandchildren, even the toddler, there have been no problems. She is not too bad with cats, but if they run she thinks they want to play.
At night she is as good as gold and is used to sleeping in a crate. We think she is a lovely happy puppy and will be a very loving dog.
MAIZY HAS GONE TO HER FOREVER HOME: MAY 2012
Maizy is settling in just fantastically. She is asleep at my feet as I write.
She loves her walks, and last night when we went for a walk in the forest she and Bramble found the dirtiest, biggest puddle and jumped in!
UPDATE FROM MAIZIE'S FOREVER HOME: NOVEMBER 2012
Mazie’s getting a big dog now and is doing so well she won the puppy class competition at our local doggy show in the summer time.
