MAISIE
MAISIE'S HISTORY Maisie and Chloe are two beautiful girls aged 4 and 7 yrs. They were surrendered together by their breeder and they are currently being fostered by Belinda and Terry in Somerset. FOSTERER'S INITIAL REPORT: FEBRUARY 2012 Maisie is a lovely, friendly Goldie, gets on really well with all the other dogs and although her tail looks a bit sparse, having had lots of mats cut off, she looks really good. She asks to go outside so I am sure she has lived in a house. Chloe is much slighter than lady and really beautiful. She is very keen to please, lots of tail wagging but rather nervous. She has had a couple of accidents in the house, but I think she is basically housetrained. They both went out into the garden with our dogs after supper and they all ran round together. They are both eating well.
FOSTERER'S REPORT: MARCH 2012 Maisie and Chloe have now really settled into our routine and become part of the group. Maisie is good on the lead, pulling to begin with and then settles down. She is anxious to greet everyone we meet and is good with other dogs. Chloe tends to be a bit panicky on the lead and darts about, but they both love going out for walks. They are both good in the car. Having discovered the cat, we would recommend that they go to a cat-free home, as they would both give chase if they got the chance. They are a lovely pair of girls, love being groomed, and Maisie especially is a big cuddle monster. It would be lovely if they could be rehomed together. MAISIE GOES TO HER FOREVER HOME: APRIL 2012
Maisie and Chloe leaving together to go to their Forever Home with Jan and Dave in Cheshire. ADOPTER’S FIRST REPORT: APRIL 2012 Both Chloe and Maisie have settled in really well with no problems at all - not a peep from them the first night!
Maisie and Chloe : Update from their forever home – May 2012 Apart from being an absolute delight, adorable and funny they have both fitted into our lives so easily and without causing any problems at all. It's true that we've only had around 6 nights (out of around 30) when they haven't had us up in the early hours barking to go out, but this is just part of the learning curve for them and we are sure this will pass. Strange noises still cause a stir with them and this is something they will get used to. They both have a great time in the garden and we are lucky to have a long lawn where they can both charge up and down - Maisie does more 'bounding' actually and Chloe is like a whippet. They are gradually getting used to lying out in the sun and are now quite confident to explore the bushes. We are also lucky enough to live just a few minutes walk from open countryside and both Maisie and Chloe are really good on the lead but they can, on occasion, tie us in knots when they decide to cross over and the leads are extended! The attached photo is by the River Mersey just 10 minutes walk away. Maisie is in charge and has no confidence problems! They have both been to the vet for a check-up - everything okay - and we are watching Maisie's weight - she does like her food! We are both so happy to have Maisie and Chloe - and we've lost weight since having them. We will keep you up to date from time to time.
