Gone to the Bridge 21.9.07

LADY ISABELLE was one classy lady. Pauline says: I only had the priviledge of knowing her for a short time but she was very, very special. I thought she would see her days out with us but knew she needed more than we could give her. Then Debbie came along with the perfect home for Belle. Her home and garden were on the flat, which was perfect for a dog with breathing difficulties. Belle also had human and doggy companionship all day and Debbie had loads of love to give her. All was just what Belle needed.

Belle was very, very happy there and we all hoped that the vets prognosis had been a pessimistic one but, sadly, she had even less time than we had imagined. and the angels came for her on 21.9.07

Debbie says:- Needless to say, the tears are running down my face as I read the messages about Belle but I do feel comforted that she is no longer suffering any pain and is probably being her usual stubborn self at the Rainbow Bridge ( yes, I want to go out in the car: No, I wont eat anything but roast chicken etc etc).

We all miss her so much as she had such a wonderful presence and I feel so privileged to have cared for her albeit for such a short time. She taught us a lot - how to cope when you are not feeling too bright, how to get what you really want and how to slow down a bit and just take some time to look around you. Thank you for letting us look after her. It was an experience I would not have missed for the world and I would do it all again tomorrow. Much love Debbie, Jenny and Zack

Beyond The Rainbow

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place thats trouble free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful, lush and green and wide
And running through the meadows, as far as the eye could see,
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we're never far apart
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart
