Saying Goodbye to Maisie: 15 Years of Love, Loyalty, and Courage

Masie’s dad wrote, “Maisie was born 3rd November 2010 and sadly died 22nd April 2026.

Maisie was a fighter, no matter what was put in her way. Whether it was her eye problems or having her cruciate repaired, she never let you know what pain she was in.

When we lost Duke, then Summer, Maisie was there for us. Now that she’s gone, the house feels very empty.

Maisie and Summer made all our fosters welcome and showed them the ropes around the house and while out walking.

Maisie, like most golden retrievers, loved her food. Her body clock never let her down when it was food time.

Maisie was 15 when it was time to say goodbye. As a dog owner, we know it’s the most horrible decision we have to make. We tried everything to manage her pain but to no avail. Obviously, we would have loved for her to have been here longer, but it wasn’t to be.

As you can appreciate me and Julie are devastated at the moment, it feels like I’ve lost my right arm. Hopefully, in a few days, we’ll feel a bit better, and obviously getting Maisie home will also help.

We’ve had some lovely comments regarding our Maisie Moo, which is much appreciated.”
