BELLA and CHARLIE HAVE A GREAT HOME TOGETHER

THEIR HISTORY

Bella ia a spayed 6yr old Golden Retriever and Charlie is gorgeous, castrated 5 years old GSD. Both have been vaccinated and microchipped and have their Pet Passports for travel to the UK.

In 2017, Bella and Charlie were relinquished by their owner due to extremely tragic circumstances.

Their very sad owner told us “I have had my two dogs, Charlie and Bella, for 5 years. Charlie is a pure bred German Shepherd that we had from 12 weeks old and Bella is a Golden Retriever that we got from Inistioge Rescue Centre shortly afterwards.

Two years ago my husband died suddenly and I have 3 young children.

Until recently, I have worked shift work but I have started a new job with involves 13 hour days with a long commute. I have no family nearby.

I have spent the last 2 months looking to rehome the dogs myself to no avail. I cannot afford doggy daycare or a dog walker. Both dogs are restless and out of sorts due to lack of attention and it has come to the stage that I realise my only option is to rehome them.

I am not making this decision lightly”. We were contacted in the hope of re-homing them and, although IRR is a Golden Retriever Rescue, it was clear they could not be split as poor Bella would have been broken-hearted. Fortunately, a fabulous UK fosterer who had extensive knowledge of both breeds offered to foster them and IRR promised the owners that we would get them a fabulous home together.

BELLA’S ASSESSMENT

Bella has been with her owner for 5 years and was approximately a 1 year old when she was adopted from a rescue. She is extremely timid and gentle and can be nervous at times of loud noises etc. She tends to be a little anxious when out of sight of her beloved beau ‘Charlie’ – the most stunning German Shepherd that Kathryn had ever seen.

She tends to fret when separated from Charlie for even a short while. Bella sits under Charlie’s chin looking up so lovingly at him. He is her knight in shining armour, her protector and dearest friend.

Bella loves to be part of family life and is a house dog who sleeps on her blanket. They travel well in the car as long as they are together.

Charlie and Bella are both house-trained She loves walks and swimming  Neither dog shows any food or toy aggression. Bella has lived with three children and they are both superb with them. They are both good with other dogs.

BELLA’S DREAM HOME

Bella is a fantastic girl and she deserves a home where she can be spoiled and loved and where she can live out her life with her beau Charlie. They just want to be together. Somewhere where they can get lots of exercise would be wonderful.
