Biddy Connolly

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

TRAGIC NEWS 24/8/2013

Biddy (previously called Amber) was surrendered to us in 2005 at 20wks old because the children were scared of her. Her ‘sin’ was jumping up, as pups of her age usually do until they are taught otherwise.

Today Kate and Tim told us the tragic news about their darling Biddy who was one of our first rescues.

“Sadly, this morning, we had to make the hardest decision we have ever had to make. After suffering from diabetes, which eventually robbed her of her sight and caused a stroke, we felt it was only fair to let her go.

For eight and a half years she has shown us unconditional love and loyalty. She was a true Goldie.

Kate says “Here are a few of our favourite snaps with Biddy doing what she loved most. What a water baby she was.”

Thank you so much to Sandie and IRR for letting us adopt her, she was definitely our golden girl.”

Memories are precious, they keep our loved ones near
They help to soothe the awful loss of those we hold so dear
Memories are special they help us through the pain
They soothe and lift our spirits till we feel whole again

The glimpses caught in shadows, the light just plays a trick,
Those really hard decisions the “thank you” in their lick
Music playing, poignant poems both remind us of those past
Everyone so special from the first one to the last.

Apart from sending our condolences to Tim, Kate and the family, we would like to thank them for giving our baby girl eight and a half years filled with happiness and fun and as much love as any dog would wish for. Even though it broke their hearts, they did the very best they could for her right to the very end by releasing her from the devastating illness which eventually robbed her of a longer life. Run Free Biddy. For sure there will be many old friends waiting to greet you at the Bridge.
