BERTIE’S GOT A NEW SISTER

Bertie here.  On 12th March, I went on adventure ! Hours and hours in the car , all the way to Northumberland. Mum said it was to meet someone, but who I asked ? . Surprise she said !

We stayed in a hotel , which was good cos I got treats from the staff . Next day (13th March) we got in the car again and meet foster mum Amanda, and and tiny tiny Cindy !

If we liked each other she was going to be my sister. Well , we played bitey face and chase all over the garden . Oakley joined in , he is Amanda own dog . Then I plonked myself on their dinning room chairs , that made them laugh ! Then I pinched Amanda’s shoe and ran into the garden .

The hoomans started talking about adoption stuff but I didn’t understand what they said. Anyway next we went to the pet shop with Betsy (aka Cindy) and she got a new harness and lead .

What did this mean ?! We met again in the afternoon, I almost pulled Dad over trying to get to Betsy cos I really like her . Back to Amanda’s for more playing, Dad and Mum doing some writing stuff . Then we had to leave ! See you tomorrow they said. Tomorrow?????

Next day up early cos it’s a long way back to Devon. Back to Amanda’s, Betsy got into my car and took up most of the seat! I think Amanda was a little sad when we left but I promised to take good care of Betsy. How can that not be when she is so tiny !!

After 7hrs travelling and lots of stops we arrived home, phew it was tiring! Poor Betsy was scared when she came into our house but I let her play with my favourite Teddy and then she was ok . I will write again soon Love and Licks Bertie xxx

BERTIE REPORT 16.2.2020

Bertie here. Oh my days, we just got back from a fabulous muddy and wet walk. I loved it . However Mum and Dad didn’t enjoy it so much as me . They really should try running thru the puddles !

Anyway Mum decided I needed a poosham! and they did it ! In the bath , clean , yes clean, water all over me. Then they poured smelly stuff on me. Dad says ” you smell wonderful now Bertie, not like a bog as you did before”.

Well , just you wait Mum n Dad as, when I go out for my afternoon walk, straight to the dirty puddles I will go!!!!

UPDATE FROM BETSY 23/3/2020

Hello everyone, Betsy here. Not much to say as Bertie has said it all! but I have had some lovely walks in the woods, on a long lead . Some walks on the roads too but, apparently, I am not good on the lead cos I keep swinging from side to side. What Mum doesn’t understand is the excitement of all the new smells there are to sniff !

I love my very old brother Ollie and I often sleep beside him. Bertie and I play running out the patio door around the garden, back in the back door and into the lounge ! It’s such fun!

I would like to thank everyone in IRR for helping me, especially Amanda, my Foster Mum, and the ladies that gave me the lovely blanket too. I sleep on it every night.   Love n Licks Betsy (aka Cindy) xxx
