BUDDY IS LOVING HIS NEW LIFE (8.3.2020)

Mum, Iwona says” Buddy (IRR Dermot) was exploring the beach and seaside today. He was so happy and interested in everything !

It is such a pleasure to take him to different places and let him explore. He doesn’t run away any more and doesn’t really pull any more either so we can now do more things and visit different places”.

HISTORY

In 2019, Dermot and Dave came from Ireland together but, due to the amount of training required re leadwork and recall, in the best interest of both dogs, it was decided to split them and rehome them to separate adopters who already had, at least, one resident dog.

Dermot was fostered in Lancashire and was described as:-.

A lovely, friendly, fit and very active outgoing 2yr old dog who loves his food and walks. He is a good guard dog with excellent manners and he is very well behaved in the house.

He likes playing tug and fetching a ball with no aggression whatsoever.

He likes quiet attention from his fosterer but isn’t pushy. He is very respectful of the fosterer’s dogs and is happy to meet and greet on walks.

Dermot will sit on command, settles well in the house and is good in the car.

He does pull on the lead and will need work on his recall. He must be kept on lead until this is established. He will be rehomed with a resident dog who can help with his training.

Dermot went off happily with Iwona and family and became Buddy.
