Frankie has gone to her Forever Home

UPDATE ON FRANKIE (was Sandy) 30th JAN 2014

Stella said “We collected Sandy from Jill and Derek on Sunday and I can’t say how delighted we are. She is an absolute star. We had no problems on the long drive home, she just went to sleep. Once we arrived home, after she had a giddy half hour, she settled down really well.”

On her first two nights, it took her a couple of hours to settle but, on her 3rd, night she went to sleep straight away on the landing and, from the sound of the snoring, sounded quite content! Stella thinks she has a beautiful personality and, as she gets used to them, she is getting quite cheeky!! Any socks, towels or blankets are, apparently, fair game!

Stella and Kevin changed her name straight away as she didn’t seem to answer to Sandy much, so she is now Frankie and she has started answering to it already. Stella says “All in all, she is a cracker and it feels like we’ve had her for years. We can’t thank IRR enough for giving us the privilege of being Frankie’s forever home. Once again thanks for everything, and special thanks to Jill and Derek for making us so welcome. We will send some pics as soon as we have some (when we can keep her still for long enough!)”.

FURTHER UPDATE ON FRANKIE 17th FEB 2014

Stella says ” I think Frankie has lost some weight over the last few weeks but, then again, so have I, with all the walking.

She seems to really have grown into her new name now. Funnily enough though, she seems to forget it when she is being naughty!! like when she walks around the house with the oven glove in her mouth!! or when she has eaten her dad’s tea off the worktop (twice!! some people just don’t learn!!) We are totally besotted with her and can’t quite believe she’s only been here 3 weeks.”
