Freddie

Freddie is a 5yr old castrated male Golden Retriever who, after receiving the necessary vet checks and rabies vaccination to travel, was fostered in the UK with Paul. He had been surrendered after he could take no more of being tormented by small children.

IT’S BEEN A BUSY DAY (13-4- 2019)

Clare (Freddie’s forever Mum) says, “Freddie is tired out after a long walk and is now snoozing” It is clear he has, already, settled very well.

FOSTER ASSESSMENTS

Paul said, “Freddie is a lovely dog who could go to most homes, without a problem as long as there are no small children.

He needs time to settle in a new place, like any other dog, but we have now had him 10 days and he’s coming out with his true character and that’s lovely. He will bark at shadows, like people.

He loves a fuss and wants to be close. He will come on your lap and won’t move till you do. He will go on the sofas and bed if allowed.

He knows basic commands and is fairly good on the lead. We don’t let them off lead, of course, so we have no idea what his recall would be like, besides the fact that he knows his name well.

Our dogs range in age from 5 to 11 and we have both male and female. Freddie gets on well with them all. He is slowly learning to play with other dogs but tries a bit too hard.

He met the cat and was fine until the cat moved when, like most dogs, he thought it was a good game to give chase.

If I could put Freddie in an ideal home it would be a detached house, with older kids or no kids and another dog or not, as he can be an only dog, I think.

Overall Freddie is a lovely dog and will make a great addition to any home”.

HEALTH

He arrived with a skin condition but that is under control. His ears were dirty and stained but are much better already. Otherwise, his general health is good.

APRIL 2019

Freddie has gone to live in his wonderful Forever Home.
