Freddie

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

We collected Freddie from Andy and Val on 6th April 2006. He was so handsome and so well behaved. He filled a hole in our life left by Rip, our old Golden Retriever we lost in August 2005, he was 12.

health. He loved nothing more than taking a run in the forest with Blossom, my Mums dog. He was also a good swimmer. Everybody loved him, and he loved everyone. He was perfect. This photo was taken 17th September, we unfortunately lost Freddie on the 28th September.

We had taken him for a walk in one of his favourite places when we got home it was obvious he was poorly so we rushed him to our Vets. We didn’t get there on time, he died in my husband’s arms on the way to the vets. She thinks he had a heart attack, and our hearts were broken too.
Hopefully, Rip was there to meet you at the Bridge Freddie, he will look after you until we meet again.
Love always Tina & Pete

A Poem on Parting

Don’t grieve too long for now I’m free
I’m following the path God set for me
I ran to Him when I heard His call
I wagged my tail and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To bark, to love, to romp or play
Games left unplayed must stay that way
I found such peace it made my day.
My parting has left you with a void
So fill it with your remembered joy
A friendship shared, your laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too shall miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life’s been full, you’ve given so much
Your time, your love and gentle touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me
God wanted me now, He set me free.
