Gracie Payne

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

Sad News 20 May 2023

Gracie’s dad, John, said, “I am sorry to report that yesterday (20/5/2023) Gracie crossed the rainbow bridge. She had been ill for a few days with a tummy problem and I had no option but to do the right thing for her. I am devastated at losing her as it has happened so quickly. She was a wonderful friend and companion to me. She loved her walks and meeting people.

She had been a registered therapy dog and was never happier being with people. My wife and I adopted her in 2014 and from day one was an absolute joy.

She has been the most wonderful dog. I lost my wife to cancer in 2017 and Gracie has been my best friend and companion since. She has helped me to cope with bereavement, my own illness and the covid lock downs. I could not have had a better dog.

Thank you IRR for allowing me to share the love and affection Gracie brought into my life. She was simply the best.”

GRATEFUL THANKS FROM JOHN, 1/6/2023

“Many thanks to everyone for your very kind messages and support following the loss of my Gracie especially on Facebook. It is very much appreciated.

Thank you once again to IRR for letting me adopt her back in 2014. Gracie has been an absolute pleasure to own and life will never be the same again without her. Run free old girl, you definitely deserve your place in doggy Heaven. She really was the very best!”
