Harvey

Harvey is a stunning 5 year old pure bred large male Golden Retriever. He is snow white in colour, resembling a Polar Bear (who was definitely a previous relation). He is nothing short of stunning. He exudes nobility and has a wonderful showman stance. He is very sweet and so incredibly affectionate. He is neutered, vaccinated. He has been just groomed.

Harvey needs to be walked in a harness so he doesn’t pull. His recall is good and he gets on very well with dogs and humans alike. He is house-trained. He came through West Cork Animal Rescue with whom Irish Retriever Rescue has close ties and with whom we have worked successfully on many previous occasions.

He belonged to an elderly person who couldn’t handle him. He has clearly been loved as his wonderful personality demonstrates. As Harvey has lived with other dogs, he would be best suited to a household with a lady dog who would brighten his life even more.

He would be best suited to a calmer environment as this is what he has been used to. A couple or family who work from home or who are at home a lot of the time would be perfect. A busy life is not for this boy as this stresses him. Whether urban or country would suit him provided he has lots of walks and is loved beyond words.

He is house trained and loves nothing better than being with you after a nice walk. Words can hardly describe this dog who has looks and personality in abundance. The family that is blessed enough to have this boy will think they have won the lottery and Irish sweepstakes combined. Truly, Harvey is a dog in a million.
