Holly Haydock

A GORGEOUS BABY GIRL

Holly is a female, now spayed, Golden Retriever. This darling little girl age 9 months when rescued has been largely left to her own devices, so she is not house-trained and generally has not been given basic training to be a good canine citizen yet.

FOSTER ASSESSMENT

Personality: She is a very sweet and affectionate little girl. Holly is full of energy and is constantly seeking mischief.

Social Learning

She travels well in the car (though she doesn’t like getting in).

Like all Goldies, she’s quite clever, so she should adapt very well to basic training.

Children: She is a bit ‘bouncy’ so she’s not recommended for a home with small children, though she could be in a home with older children where there’s plenty of activity.

Dogs: She gets on very well with other dogs.

Holly’s Dream Home
Holly would like a new owner who is committed to devoting the time and attention she needs to train her (including house-training)so she can develop into a wonderful mature Goldie.

She is quite timid so she needs an owner who will provide her with a positive training environment to help build her confidence.

She needs a lot of exercise, so her new owner must be prepared to take her on long walks and give her plenty of stimulation.

BRILLIANT NEWS July 2013

Holly went to her Forever Home

UPDATE FROM HOLLY’S FOREVER HOME July 2013

Holly arrived with us a few weeks ago, is settling well and has changed our lives completely (in a good way). She is full of mischief, stealing shoes and food if she can and digging holes in the garden – she has had to learn the command “leave” very quickly! Junior Puppy classes are great fun and so far she has got on well with other dogs and people.

We live opposite a complex of retirement flats and Holly already knows which ladies have treats and fusses for her, she is very gentle with them. Holly’s favourite kind of exercise is chasing butterflies in the field and tomorrow we are meeting up with fellow IRR dog Evie for a play. We are very lucky to have been able to adopt her.
