Jackson Noble

A PERFECT OUTCOME FOR LOTTIE (AUGUST 2018)

We knew it was love at first sight as soon as Barb told us “Jackson is a beautiful boy. He is very friendly, bouncy and full of life and gets on wonderfully well with Lottie”.

He was, clearly, just the ticket to help Barb and Lottie over the very sad loss of Louis and they are perfect to give him the companionship and fun-filled life he deserves.

LOTTIE IS HAPPY TO WELCOME JACKSON (18.8.2018)

Lottie says “ I’ve got a baby brother. He was one of IRR’s super 17 who all needed rehoming at the same time.

Mum has been fostering him and, because we get on so well and I’d been so sad since Louis died, she has adopted him. He is called Jackson. It is non stop play now. I do have had to teach him a few manners and make him realise I’m the boss, of course. He is much bigger than me and Mum describes him as a mix between Tigger and Eeyore but he is lovely.

I even share my toys with him but he has murdered a few so I wasn’t quite so happy about that. He is a proper slobber chops and he digs big holes!

He likes to climb on Mum’s lap and flattens her which I find quite amusing as, whilst her arm is in a sling, she struggles to get him off. It is even funnier when I also climb up to join them. Still, although he is a great big lummox, he is still a baby and we love him”

HISTORY

Jackson is a 12y mths old, very handsome, castrated male Golden Retriever. Little is known of his history. He had all the necessary vet checks and inoculations to get his Pet Passport then went into foster in the UK with Barb and the lovely Lottie.

PERSONALITY

Barb says “Jackson is a lively young lad who is growing in confidence every day. After a few days, he is far more settled & relaxed at home and much more confident and relaxed when faced with new situations.

He is, generally a very happy boy. Jackson loves toys and to play with Lottie when she lets him! He is certainly not a shy boy. He loves cuddles and thinks he is a lap dog.

HEALTH

Jackson appears to be very healthy and in great condition.

SOCIAL LEARNING

TRAVEL:  He travels well. Jackson is  excellent in the car. He jumps in happily and settles down whilst travelling.

HOUSETRAINING: He is fully housetrained

BASIC TRAINING:  Jackson knows basic commands like sit and down   He seems to picks up on things up very quickly and is starting to learn a few manners. Training is progressing as he responds well to reward based training. He will, now, wait for things rather than rushing in.

LEADWALKING: and RECALL:  He was incredibly strong on just a collar and lead, but is improving using a harness. He is still pretty strong when out walking, but he is much better than he was already.

His recall needed working on but is, already, getting better,

RESOURCE GUARDING:  Jackson shows no sign of resource guarding

SEPARATION ANXIETY: At first he was, understandably, very unsettled if I went out of sight, mainly in the day time as he was fine at night but this is improving every day.

ADULTS: He is very friendly with adults

CHILDREN:  Jackson is very friendly with children

DOGS:  He has met other dogs and was quite submissive at first but then he became quite relaxed and friendly.  Jackson and Lottieplay together really well,

CATS:  I would give him 4/5 for cats.

JACKSON’S DREAM HOME

Jackson is a gorgeous, fun-loving boy and we are sure he will be a loyal companion and friend to his forever owners. His dream home would be one where people are around most of the time. They must be happy to carry on with his positive training. As he adores other dogs, we know he would love to be able to live with one or more.
