Jasper

The rather gorgeous JASPER is a 3 year old black Labrador Cross. His owner, who has a disability, found it difficult to look after Jasper. He was microchipped and has been neutered. He remained with his owner in Bolton, Lancashire, until a good new home could be found for him.

As Jasper was not in an IRR foster home, he had not been assessed in the normal way but, we were told that he was good with people, children, dogs and cats. He can be a bit bouncy at first but he soon settles. He does not chew anything but he does pull on a normal lead when out for walks.

UPDATE FROM HIS FOREVER HOME

We are now the proud owners of Jasper who is lovely although a little excited about being with us. He has settled in over night and has been as good as gold. We took him out yesterday and bought him the essentials and some toys which he loves to throw about and chew, he follows us everywhere not missing anything. He went on his first walk down along the Humber yesterday and greeted everyone with a big lick. Our neighbours think he is lovely and so do we.

Thank you so much for putting us in touch with Jasper’s previous owner who I think was very sad indeed to see him go.

TWO WEEKS ON from his FOREVER MUM

Jasper has settled in very well, he is getting better on the lead and we are training him to sit when we get to the road, but most of his walks are in the countryside and he doesn’t need a lead and enjoys meeting everyone whatever they are. We have found that Jasper doesn’t really like water and wouldn’t go swimming of his own accord which has supprised us as most Labs love water. Jasper loves to go out in the landrover.

He does get very excited with his toys and tends to try and nip if he’s not getting his own way with them, so I think a bit of training is needed there. Jasper is a very loving dog and tries his best to always please.

We feel very honoured to have him in our lives and love him dearly.
