Jenny Macdonald

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

LIFE CAN BE VERY CRUEL (26.05.2015)

None of us can believe this tragic news. It is terribly sad and so unfair and our hearts go out to Roma and Donald.

Donald told us “Jenny was out for her walk in the woods this morning, playing with a fellow young retriever. Suddenly, she dropped like a stone and I could not revive her. I got her to the vet very quickly but she was gone.

We are devastated as she was a wonderful dog and was very much part of the family. She will be greatly missed”.

HISTORY

Jenny was originally called Gerri and was a beautiful 3yr old dark gold spayed female Golden Retriever. She was owned by a British couple in Turkey.

When she was 8 months old, they decided to move and didn’t want her any more so they took her to the dog rescue where she had been ever since.

Jenny had been regularly visited by her guardian angel who personally walked her and had fully funded her repatriation to the UK, asking IRR to assist with her re homing.

She travelled from Turkey by Pet Chauffeur Services leaving there at the end of March and spent a few days in foster with Amanda in Cumbria before going to her wonderful forever home in Scotland.

FOSTER ASSESSMENT

Jenny is a typical Retriever and loves people. She was good with children and loved the company of other dogs.

She walked well on a lead and, having been in a rescue shelter most of her life, Jenny just wanted to settle in a real home with plenty of love and affection.

This she most definitely found and her adopters totally adored her.
