Joseph

Also known as little Joey, the very cute JOSEPH was a stray who was never claimed. According to the girls in the pound, he has got a beautifully mellow manner to him. He potters over to say hello and nips back for some more food. They said he is quite young and is well socialized with other dogs.

Sandie says Joey is probably a Sheltie / Lab x. He has got a fabulous nature and gets on well with other dogs. He liked the car although he did throw up. He is probably only a year old. He has matts behind his ears that really need a professional groomer.

Rosa (who is giving Joey a bed for the night) says Joey, who is now microchipped, is brilliant even although he has not sat down for one minute. He is excellent with other dogs, very submissive, no arguments from him, so Kelly is taking advantage of that and is been really bossy to him, saying that, they had a brilliant play outside.

Apart from a small marking wee when he got here, he has been very clean. He loves going upstairs, he loves jumping up, playing with toys. I am sure he has lived in a house before as he is not insecure in any way around the house. While he was eating in the kitchen, I went out of the kitchen but as soon as I walked in he moved quickly away from his food to the side like saying you can have it. He is really very sweet.

Could he be YOUR JOSEPH?

Rosa said. Last night it turned out to be a very good night. I put Joseph in the kitchen and the rest in the lounge. They settled straight away, so no need for me to sleep downstairs in the end. I didnt hear a single sound until this morning 6.45am when Daisy started barking. I went down and Joey was very please to see me, the only thing that he wanted was a cuddle, for a full 10 minutes. He was just like a baby in my arms, absolutely gorgeous.

He gets on very well with all the dogs, although it can be a bit too energetic for some dogs. He and Kelly went mad running in the garden this morning, the bad thing is that they were barking as they were chasing each other, then Daisy joined in and that was great fun to look at apart from the fact that it was 7.15am and they were barking their heads off. Kelly was the worse. Also, as it is raining, all the mud came inside the house which looked pretty messy. Needless to say the house went very quiet when Joseph left.

In the short time that I him, I had got much attached as he is just lovely. He adores people and loves all the attention from humans. I definitely think he has lived in a house before as he is housetrained, not one accident while he was here. His coat is beautiful apart from behind his ears where is very matted. He is not underweight, he loved human food, not very interested in complete food but he loved the chicken and rice that I cooked for him. He is so funny while eating he will stop go for a little circle around the kitchen and back to his food again. Flynn (another foster) used to do exactly the same.

He does understand sit, down and walkies. I hope he finds a very active forever home soon as he is a really lovely dog.
