Keeley

A VERY PRETTY CROSSBREED GIRL

In 2010, Hayley (as she was called then) was approximately 18 months old and Retriever x Collie. She was fostered in Bristol.

Her fosterer said “Hayley is a very sweet girl who is great with other dogs and children, but untested with cats. As a youngster, Hayley is looking for a home where somebody is home most of the day as she craves and thrives on attention.

Hayley is not bad on the lead and has the basis of a good recall and regularly “checks in” when offlead rarely going out of sight. As with all youngsters, she will require ongoing training and fair and consistent handling… especially with regards to jumping up when excited!

With a little work, Hayley will make a smashing addition to an active family”.

UPDATE DEC 2010

Hayley went to her forever home.

HAYLEY (NOW KEELEY) IN HER NEW HOME

John said. “We renamed Hayley to Keeley which I think is Irish for beautiful girl, as she is a beautiful girl (also I have a neice called Hayley).

She has settled in very well, and is very dog friendly and children friendly (even little ones) which is just what we wanted in a dog. She enjoys her walks through Ruislip Woods chasing the squirrels up all the trees and runs all over the place but always comes back to me. She has two playmates -my son’s dog Ruby and my daughter’s dog Ebony.

She had her first holiday the week after Christmas when we all went to Devon for the week. Keeley enjoyed the beach immensely but was not too sure of the sea. She is not the best traveller but as we are a very active family she is getting used to it.

We had her micro chipped as we would hate to lose her, she was very good at the Vets. All in all Keeley is a wonderful dog, we are very pleased with her and I think she is very pleased to be here with us.”

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2011

Keeley has settled in so well and gets on brilliantly with the rest of the family and other dogs, particularly Ruby, who is young and playful with her. John takes her for long walks 3 times a day through the woods and fields and we regularly take her away with us to Devon.

She has put on lots of weight and is very good off the lead and loves laying in water along with Ruby. The only thing we haven’t cracked yet is her being sick in the car! I have enclosed some pictures taken on our summer holiday in Devon this year of her swimming and fetching a stick. Great dog who we all love.
