Lucy Hayward

A PERFECT HOME AFTER AN AWFUL START

Lucy was rescued from a high kill Pound in Romania. She was only about a year old. She is a very pretty girl and has a lovely coat. She was spayed as soon as possible.

FOSTERER’S ASSESSMENT

Since being at her foster home she has made herself at home. She was quite quiet and nervous at first but has got over that and, when given the chance, is starting to run about and enjoy herself. Lucy has a lovely temperament and is settling down very well. When she arrived she needed feeding up and she has already begun to put on weight.

SOCIAL LEARNING

Grooming: She had a bath on her second day in foster and loved it, especially the grooming part.

Leadwalking: Lucy walks very well on the lead

Children: She reacts well to children

Dogs: Lucy gets on very well with other dogs especially with Jilly.

Cats: It is not yet known how she reacts to cats.

LUCY’S DREAM HOME

Lucy is a lovely dog who, after a rotten start to her life, deserves to be loved and cherished for the rest of her life. She has, previously, only really known the companionship of other dogs so she would probably feel a little lost without a canine friend. Her adopter is going to think they have won the jackpot with this little darling.

A HAPPY UPDATE (February 2015)

Lucy and Jilly get on so well together that their fosterers have decided that their’s should be the forever home for both of them . David says “Neither of them know how to play but, given time, that will change. We are sure that they will have a wonderful life together”.
