Luke

LUKE is a small, golden coloured, intelligent, 3 year old neutered male Golden Retriever. He is micro-chipped and been health checked by a vet.

HISTORY

The owner contacted IRR after hearing about us through friends. We assured her that he would get a really fantastic home as all our IRR dogs do where he would be treasured and loved.

PERSONALITY

He has a gentle personality and is very affectionate.

SOCIAL LEARNING

Luke understands the basic commands but can be feisty so, for this reason, he would be best suited to someone who is well experienced with Golden Retrievers and who has other Goldens to help him feel at home.

TRAVEL: He travels well in the car.

HOUSETRAINING: He is house trained

RESOURCE GUARDING: He is not food aggressive.

LEADWALKING: He is good on the lead

DOGS and CATS: He seems to get on well with all the dogs he meets and fits in well with them but he hasn’t been cat tested.

LUKE’S DREAM HOME

Luke needs love and understanding with an experienced owner in a home where he will have other dogs to keep him company. Canine friends will show him the correct way to behave in a home situation and, with a little continued training, Luke is going to make a wonderful addition to someone’s family.

As is so often the case, Luke’s fosterer, Sue, fell head over heels for him and, almost instantly, decided she was going to adopt him.
