Marko Pothecary

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

THE SADDEST OF NEWS (31.5.2019)

Andy said, “Marko, sadly became unwell at the end of May, went downhill rapidly, and passed away on the 31st May. I want to thank our amazing vets who were brilliant at such a horrific
time.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to IRR for bringing Marko into our lives and for all that you do. We are forever in your debt”.

A full Rainbow Bridge tribute will appear soon but, at the moment, poor Emily is still far too upset to be able do this, Andy is distraught and poor buddy is feeling very lonely. At least, it was all very quick for Marko which was good for him but, of course, such speed made it all the more difficult for Andy and Emily to accept and then try to come to terms with.
His loss is enormous, for Buddy too.

We know our words aren’t a lot of use at times like these but we do hope they will all accept the hugest of hugs from us all at IRR.

HISTORY

Marko is a fabulous, very friendly boy (most likely a Retriever x Labrador) who was 3 years old when he was rescued by IRR in Ireland and then went into foster in Cornwall with Andy and Emily.

They said of him, “What more can we say about the lovely Marko? If ever there was a boy who had lots of love to give, it is him. Marko is very laid back and relishes affection.

On a visit to the beach with us, he proved that he is not shy of going in for a splash in the sea.

After a long walk, he is happy to crash out and sleep peacefully.

He isn’t keen on having cats or small furries around but he would be fine either as an only dog or with another canine companion”.

October 2014

In October 2014, he was adopted by Andy and Emily, who joined the every increasing ranks of failed IRR fosterers.

Needless to say, the whole family were delighted by the news.
