Marley Smith

Marley was rehomed because he was too lively for the family and jumped up and scratched the children. We felt he needed a home without children and with someone there all day. He has now been castrated.

FOSTER REPORT

Gemma said: “Marley the 6 month old GR bounced into our house and made himself at home very quickly. He is a sweetheart through and through. He needed some basic training and some work on his manners but he’s a very quick learner and keen to please so it all clicked together well for him.

I knew he wouldnt be with me for very long, with his stunning good looks and the fact that he made the perfect house guest with a temperament to die for meant he would be sought after by all!!!

We were out walking one Saturday and I was late home with him but my dad was coming over for lunch. It was in that moment as we came down the street and dad was waiting at the back of his car for us that Marley chose him! He made a bee line straight for my dad flinging himself down at his feet and after a belly rub he didnt take his eyes of him all the way back to my house. even while the dals and Tinka the collie were greeting their ‘grandad’ Marley was right there with him and thats where he stayed for pretty much most of dads visit – at his feet.

We chatted over the possibility of Marley being the right dog for dad and I ran through his current training needs and his background and dad asked if we could meet up and go out for a walk. We went to dads on that Sunday and again they got on like a house on fire.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Marley’s learnt his new house rules quickly, dad’s been building up Marley’s strength and stamina, working on his training and they are doing well.

MARLEY IN HIS NEW HOME

Paul said. “Marley has settled in really well and is really good. We have a large nature reserve within walking distance so we walk over there every day and he loves it.

He’s not very brave, I was watching a program on National Geographic about wolves when he spotted a close up of the Alpha wolf on the screen. He started growling, then as the wolf looked directly at the camera, he ran and hid behind my chair!!
