Max Bennett

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

Sad News 20th July 2021

Max’s dad said, “Up until late February of this year, Max was in good health and enjoying his life, however, he was struck down with a Vestibular attack. After a period of some 6/8 weeks, he seemed to have made a full recovery and was getting back to full fitness. Towards the end of May beginning of June, we noticed that he was starting to slow down, and from there started to lose weight. At the end of June, he was diagnosed with kidney and liver failure and given approximately 3 weeks to live.

Sadly, Max deteriorated very quickly in those few weeks, and we had no other choice than to have him peacefully put to rest.

Max went to sleep on Tuesday 20th July 2021 at 12.30pm.

Max gave us over 8 wonderful years of his life and a huge legacy of beautiful memories.”

Michael and Joy would like to thank IRR for entrusting them to adopt their wonderful Max.

Max has lived outside all his life. He gets on brilliantly with cats, kids and other dogs. He travels well in the car and is housetrained.

Max loves to carry things around in his mouth, especially slippers. He is progressing well with learning to live in a house and is friendly with other animals and people. He is also good with children.

Max can sometimes be possessive with his toys and can also be a little nervous at times, so he will need someone who can be patient and offer him the basic training he needs; which in turn will help him to gain more confidence.
