Max

MAX’S HISTORY

Max is about 18 months old. He was surrendered by his family due to other commitments.

FOSTERER’S INITIAL REPORT – FEB 2012

Max is being fostered in Brough, Yorkshire. Despite the fact that Max’s life hasn’t been fantastic so far he hasn’t let that impinge upon his personality. He is definitely making up for lost time, he smiles constantly and his tail wags so much that I think it must be powered by a Duracell battery! He is a very happy, bouncy playful dog. He is mad about playing ball in the garden with our dogs. He loves food and especially enjoys saying ‘hello’ to us in the morning.

Max is not food or toy possessive; he gets on well with our 4 dogs and has been greeted and petted by strangers on walks without any difficulties. He would fit in well with any pack. He enjoys going out for walks on the lead. He can be a little unsure about traffic but this could be easily sorted out with a daily walk around areas with traffic so that he could get used to it. He walks well using a head collar but can pull without it.

Even though Max is a dog who likes nothing more than to be with people, he doesn’t mind being left for short periods, either on his own or with another dog. Max gets upset if he is touched from behind if he can’t see you, so a home without young children would be best.

This dog is definitely ‘one in a million’ he loves life and people and is great with other dogs. Cats and children have not been part of his home environment but time will tell.

Although Max does not appear to have had very much love in his short life, he connects with people quickly and easily. He loves a fuss and responds very positively to praise, which contributes to his increasing confidence and trust. Max is showing that he will be a very loyal and loving dog with the right owner.
