Max

Max is a 2 year old Golden Retriever. He is a very good looking lad that is still very much a puppy in his actions.

His first fosterer in N. Ireland said he was quite playful with her dog, Pepper, and didn’t show any aggression or fear. He is a sweetheart that loves to be with people, constantly seeking them out.

Apart from a few toilet accidents in the first few days, the only flaw was he pulled like a steam train even on a gentle leader. He, obviously, was not used to being on a lead and staying on one side or the other. A lot of training will be needed for him to obey commands and make him easier to control on the lead.

Having met the father of his second fosterer, Anya, there was only ever one outcome so Max is now living in his forever home with him in the UK.

Max has gone to his Forever Home

UPDATE FROM HIS FOREVER HOME (2.3.2015)

Max has settled in really, really well. He has a wonderful nature and has been very good especially when the three young granddaughters visited at the weekend. The older children loved him although the youngest wasn’t quite so sure as he was bigger than her.

He is unused to going out on a lead so taking him for walks is proving a challenge and training is needed in this area but Pino and Anne are confident they will get there.

He has had a grooming session with the mobile grooming company that go to the house and he loved it. Sophie, the dog groomer was just full of praise for him and commented on what a lovely natured dog he is and so well behaved. He looked fabulous and so handsome after a shampoo and blow-dry and is booked in for the same treatment in 3 weeks time!!!!!!!

It sounds like Max has his paws well and truly under the table so we couldn’t be more delighted for him and his forever family.
