Max

Max is a beautiful, mid-gold Golden Retriever who is going to be 6 years old in July 2016. He is micro-chipped and neutered. He is in top health and has no issues.

HISTORY

He has lived in a loving home since he was 3 months old and has always been part of the family but, originally, it was just a couple and no children and their work circumstances have changed dramatically. They feel it would be selfish for them to keep him as he sees less & less of them. It is going to break their hearts to say “goodbye” but they feel they can no longer give him the life he deserves and can’t be around as much to receive the love and attention back.

PERSONALITY
He has a unique personality and really loves to interact. He is incredibly friendly & loving and loves a hug (a little to much perhaps). He is very relaxed around people and loves to say hello.

SOCIAL LEARNING
Travel: He went everywhere with his owners from an early age so has no problems going in the car.

Leadwalking and recall: In built up areas & towns etc, he walks fine on the lead. He loves a good walk as much as curling up inside for a nap. Max likes being off the lead in open areas and will always come back when called as he likes to keep an eye on us and will never go too far ahead.

Food: He is on dry food & water but, as a treat, he loves cooked ham or sausages and even the odd slice of brown bread (soda bread) if we are out for a spin and stop for soup or lunch etc…….

Children: His owner said of him “I never felt I could have a higher opinion of Max than I did but it went up another level again when our son was born 3yrs ago. Max was incredible with him from day one and is so gentle & caring with him (and other kids) that it is a lesson for us in how to behave.

Dogs: He is relaxed around other dogs but has never had to live with another dog.

DREAM HOME
Max’s dream home would be very much like the one he has enjoyed from puppyhood where he was loved to bits and shared in everything.

He is a very healthy, happy interactive dog and his owners have no doubt he will bring untold joy to whoever is lucky enough to home him but, beware, one meeting with Max and you will be hooked.

MARCH 2016

Max is happily settled in his lovely Forever Home.
