Meg Hainsworth

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

THE SADDEST NEWS (28.2.2014)

We have received the very sad news from Meg’s family that their beloved Meg went to Rainbow Bridge suddenly after a short illness. She will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

MEG’S STORY

Sandie said. “Meg is proving to be a little sweetheart and has manners to beat the band – well, she would with Monty as a mentor!!!! She’s exceptionally clean in the house, never begs for food and actually doesn’t even look at you while you’re eating, which I’m glad about as I hate dogs who are in your face while you’re eating.

Although she gets on really well with all my dogs there were one or two incidents in the beginning when I fed her with mine and she went for them after they’d all finished eating and started walking around. But that was when she was very unsure of herself and am sure it wouldn’t be a problem now – although I don’t chance it and feed her separately. She’s very affectionate, loves being groomed and loves the car. She has a very calm personality altogether and is totally adorable.”

Meg went into foster with Andy and Val in the West Midlands before going to her forever home in Hampshire.

She was being considered as the permanent addition to Andy and Val’s family but, whilst she was good with dogs away from the home, she didn’t see why she should have to share Andy and Val’s love with any and every dog that arrived in her home. It was, therefore decided, she would do best as an only dog and this has been the case. She is now thoroughly enjoying being spoilt rotten and is lapping up all the attention she can get from her devoted retired owners. She also lives close to and sometimes socialises with other IRR girls.
