Meme Rose Edwards

FULFILLING HER POTENTIAL

As expected, Meme Rose is going great guns and is fulfilling her potential getting her first rosette at only a few months old.

A MAGNIFICENT SEVEN HISTORY

DESTINED FOR GREAT THINGS

Rosie was the fifth born of our Magnificent Seven. She was one of four girls (Daisy, Poppy, and Honey) and three boys (Briar, Bramble, and Shamrock) born to Lily on 13th and 14th June 2015.

She has two very distinctive bright blue eyes. She was going to be called Meme Rose partly because her very good friend would be Axl and partly because as her Dad, Owen, said “She is all ME ME ME”.

She went to living in Bedfordshire with Owen, Mum, Sandra, and her new doggy siblings Brian, Bond and Casey. Living very close by will be her brother, Bramble who became Axl.

Meme Rose and Axl were the first two puppies to leave Lily for their forever homes on 2.8.2015.

FIRST NEWS FROM MEME’S FOREVER HOME

Sandra tells us “Well. the last two weeks have been fun !!! Not much work is getting done whilst the puppies are awake, yes puppies! Axl comes to play on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings while Julie is at work. We never realised how much time we would waste just watching them. Working from home is great but we have had a constant stream of visitors to see the puppies during the day and, of course, friends and neighbour seem to think we can stop and chat at any time. Consequently, most of my work has been done early morning or evening.

Meme has settled in really well. The first couple of nights she took a little while to settle but, since then, there have been no problems. Bond has been amazing with her. He plays with her and lets her jump all over him. Casey has a little play now and again, but she is nearly 13yrs so she isn’t really interested. Brian was trying to ignore her and was nearly suicidal the first time Axl arrived. One day, Meme actually pushed Axl into the water bowl and he just sat there a little stunned.

She has had her first vaccination and weighed 5.8kg last week. She is booked in to start puppy socialization classes on 11th September. We are lucky with the weather being so nice as it means the back door is constantly open and she knows to go out after a nap for a ‘busy’. She is happy to travel in the car or the van. She is also excellent with the grandchildren but they are well used to dogs. Although she likes being with the other dogs, she is also just as happy on her own.

This week we have been looking after Bella, my son’s dog, so Meme has had a great time chasing up and down the garden with Bond and Bella. They are both very good with her and also give up their toys when she wants them”.

It certainly sounds as though Meme is living the life of Riley.
