Mickey Ivan

Mickey travelled to the UK on 30th July 2009 when he was still a young, neutered Golden Retriever Cross. He was fostered in Surrey with Sally where he very quickly settled in. He had a slight problem with an ear infection but that was soon sorted.

Mickey went to his perfect new home very close to where his fosterer lives. It was love at first sight between Ray and Mickey.

Sally says she will be seeing both Ray and Mickey on a regular basis so she will remain involved in the “little tyke’s” life.

MICKEY IN HIS FOREVER HOME

Ray said. “Mickey is 100% better in the fortnight that I have had him, he walks to heel, he will sit when prompted. He seeks attention all the time as he likes to be loved. He is a complete lunatic and is very energetic. He is great fun, and a great companion for me.

He is going to keep me fit, as we go for walks regularly and is active all day…. he sleeps in his cage at night time, without a murmur, and happily goes straight into it.

When travelling in the car he is completely calm and he doesn’t jump up all over the place distracting me, you never know he is there.

He eats all his food and turns the dish over when finished. He should have been born a boxer, as he is always playing on his hind legs and boxing you when playing. He is agile and very versatile in his movements. He likes to chew soft material toys and rip them to shreds, but he does not damage or mess in the house or garden.

The photos are of before and after, see if you can see the difference. It is difficult to get a decent photograph as he won’t stay still long enough to let the camera click!!

He has visited the vet and his ear has been treated and has cleared up completely.”

UPDATE NOV 2009

Ray says “Mickey is settling down into a good routine but is still bonkers.”
