Misty

MISTY’S HISTORY

3 yr old Misty is a very bright, pretty but sometimes timid girl who came into IRR’s care having previously lived outside in a pen. She has had little or no training and would probably benefit from a basic training course. That said since her first day Misty is very clean having had no accidents in the house.

OCT 2011: FOSTERER’S INITIAL REPORT

On arrival Misty was bossy with our dogs but this has significantly improved having settled into her new environment. She’s been having flower essences to help her as we believed her reaction was fear based. In addition to her new environment Misty had also recently been spayed. By the time she went to the vets to have her sutures removed she totally ignored the dogs she met there.

Misty will chase cats so I would recommend a cat free home. Misty is very quiet and chilled out at home and enjoys lying at my feet or having her head massaged. Outside she is incredibly exhuberant and agile pulling on a lead so she is much better on a harness. Misty loves her walks and would enjoy a home where she’ll get lots of exercise.

Misty has been very good with our children and seems unfazed by their noise. She likes to be involved with whatever is going on in the house or garden.

Misty would probably be best suited to an experienced dog owner who is around most of the time. She has been left for approximately 2 – 3 hour periods with our dogs and is fine. When she first arrived she was separated at night and did whimper and bark a little.

Misty is really beginning to flower as her confidence grows. She just needs a home where she’ll get lots of love, time and patience.

OCT 2011: FOSTERER’S 2ND REPORT

Misty is such a pretty girl who is coming on in leaps and bounds, but sadly her photos just don’t do her any justice. She has grown in confidence every day, having a very affectionate nature with a hint of mischief. She walks lovely on a head collar now ignoring other dogs. She is now totally fine with our dogs and especially enjoys playing with Paddy our Golden Retriever. Misty is a happy soul who enjoys human company and has been excellent with our children, the youngest being 4 yrs.
.
Misty who joined us on our caravan holiday recently loved being part of the family going on days out: her behaviour was perfect.

Misty will still need some on-going training to bring her on: that said she is desperate to please and I feel she will do very well. Do you have the time and commitment to offer this beautiful girl the perfect cat-free home where Misty will get lots of regular walks and cuddles?

DEC 2011: MISTY HAS NOW GONE TO HER FOREVER HOME

Just to say that Misty went off very happily to her new home with Tim, Jen and Fred the Labrador.
