Molly Ashwood

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

VERY SAD NEWS (14th August 2014)

Patrick has written to tell us about his dreadful loss.

“I am terribly sad to say Molly has left me so soon and left such a massive hole. The past 7 Months have brought ups, downs and inbetweens but never have we stopped loving and never has Molly stopped fighting. She was the most courageous brave dog I have met who fought her illness as hard as she could. Even to her last day was she holding her favourite ball. Today was a day too many and her weary body needs to sleep. I will have and hold dear wonderful memories of Molly, my big teddy bear and she will be so so missed”

IT WAS A DREADFUL YEAR (DECEMBER 2014)

A distraught Patrick told us “Sadly, tragedy has struck again and I have lost my Oscar who came from you back in Lorraine’s days. He came from home to home as the original owner did not want him put in foster. It has been rather a shock without Oscar and we are all taking a while to get over it.

He was 11.5yrs but his passing was very premature and sudden. Having lost Willow and Molly that’s three of mine gone this year. I still have Angel who also came from you but she is totally blind and she may accidentally walk into another dog so it’s vital there must be no bad reaction from other dogs towards her. Molly, Oscar and Willow were all bomb proof with other dogs and they will all be very much missed”.

All reunited with Birdie at Rainbow Bridge, we can only thank Patrick for adopting these wonderful IRR oldies and for giving them the happiest retirements a dog could ever wish for.

MOLLY’S STORY

Molly was 11 – 12 years old when she was found as a stray and she was being fed by local people in the village where she was found.

FOSTER ASSESSMENT

She was fostered in Lincoln and was described by her fosterer “Magnificent Molly is a very affectionate girl and is quickly adjusting to a new life where she is well loved in her foster home. She’s great in the car, good with other dogs, good on the lead and is house trained. She would suit any home, young or old”.

Molly’s Dream Home
This lovely lady deserves a loving home where she will be treasured and adored, with lots of affection, cuddles and kisses every day.

UPDATE MAY 2014

Patrick tells us “Wonderful Molly has been a dream dog to welcome into our home and she has brought joy beyond belief after the sad loss of Willow.

Molly is a kind and gentle dog who gives back a thousand times in love and gratitude for coming here. She has very quickly established herself as leader of the pack and has been known to chase off any dogs upsetting her gang!

Molly has had one or two problems, primarily being diagnosed with mega-oesophagus as well as the spondylosis and doggy knee but she copes brilliantly and was such a good girl in the vets having her x ray. Upon arrival home (feeling very sleepy) her first action a few hours later even before eating was to plant her favourite toy on my lap such is her zest for life and tenacity.

I am truly blessed to have Molly, my fourth oldie from IRR. Every moment spent in her company is a pleasure and honour and scarcely have I known a dog so wanting to please. She is progressing very well with her hydrotherapy and I hope this together with holistic veterinary care will allow her to enjoy her time with me for as long as possible.

The first picture is Molly at the pond and the second is Molly at the office where she comes most days”
