Oisin Moran

SADLY, OISIN WAS RETURNED BUT IS NOW HAVING AN AMAZING LIFE

Unfortunately, in 2009, because of his health problems, sadly, Oisin’s forever home in the UK didn’t work out for him although his humans did try to do their best for him.

But, of course, there was one person who was going to be there for him as she had been when he was just a baby, his absolutely forever and ever Mum, Janice.

Needless to say, Oisin was delighted to be back home in Ireland where he was also happily reunited with his best friend Flynn.

His recovery began and, although it took some time to get him back to full health, he was soon looking good again. These two pics were taken months after his recovery and, I am delighted to say, he never had a skin problem again.

AN EXCITING LIFE (AUGUST 2016)

We all loved little Oisin so we were delighted when Janice contacted us from South Africa to tell us all about his exciting new life there. They had all moved to South Africa in 2012.

He has definitely come on a long way from how he was and he looks like a totally different dog now so well done to Janice.

Janice tells us, “This is our two boys today in later life. They are both 9yrs old now and Oisin is still lying on top of Flynn which he’s done since they were pups. Flynn and Oisin are really living it up together here in South Africa!

These are pics are of Oisin in SA”.

HAVING A BALL (NOVEMBER 2016)

“We’ve just moved house & we’re loving it & the boys are having a ball on their new plot of land”.

HISTORY

Oisin is a whippet and the poor boy was only about 12wks old in 2007.

We had thought “OK so he isn’t exactly a Golden Retriever but he is golden and how could anyone turn their back on him?”

Janice found him with Sandie on a country road. He was dumped like a bit of garbage. Janice said: “He was covered in mange from head to toe, the worse I’ve ever seen.

Sandie remembered “He was so frightened to go outside. When I had him in the jeep today, he hung his little head down so low, I lifted his head up to look at him and he looked back at me. His eyes were filled with such sadness and yet acceptance that I, too, was going to abandon him. I just broke down crying…………… it was heartbreaking.”

“When we got back home, he jumped up and down, despite his very sore paws, with delight.

He couldn’t believe that someone wanted him and was going to take care of him. A night with food in his belly, a kiss and a very big cuddle before he was tucked up in his warm bed was alien but wonderful to him.”

Sandie believed he would be with her for some time as he really was a very sick little bag of bones. This pup was a really awful cruelty case.”

It didn’t take long for Janice to offer to pay for vet treatments for him from her own pocket and she was also prepared to nurse him back to good health always assuming the poor little soul made it at all. We were all praying for him to get better.

THREE DAYS ON

Janice told us with delight “He is bouncing around like a proper puppy…….. its so wonderful to see.

OISIN 5 DAYS ON

Oisin is now staying with Sandie whilst Janice is on holiday. She is bathing him in Olive & Almond Oils, Aloe First and Crisis twice daily and all the sores have now fallen off. The skin just has to heal now. He is a lovely calm boy, not at all phased by her 6 dogs.

OISIN 2.10.07

Oisin still has a long way to go but, already, he is a different dog. He is such a happy boy these days. He really adores the company of other dogs and is sooooooo cute…………………

OISIN AND FRIENDS

This is Oisin with Miss Daisy ( Janice took her out of the pound last year). She is 13yrs old & has very bad hearing. Miss Daisy is fear agressive with people & dogs so you can see by Oisin’s face he know hes taking a chance sitting beside her. Brave or cheeky!

And this is Oisin with Flynn who was rescued from a puppyfarm in June 2007 (at 4mths old he was terrified of people) & Oisin, of course, was dumped on the side of a road.

Its great when we see pups like this who both have no fears any more. The only thing they have to worry about is what toy or game to play now.

UPDATE ON OISIN

Look how handsome Oisin is now. Can you believe that this is the same puppy who was covered in mange and was absolutely terrified just a few weeks ago?

Janice brought a fully recovered Oisin to the UK on 3/11/07 and he is already settling happily into his new home in Norfolk.

OISIN WITH HIS FOREVER FAMILY

Oisin is a really handsome, loving and very playful boy. He is very happy and he has settled in really well.

He is, most definitely, a part of The Brady Bunch already.

Jackie, who went to visit them said “It was delightful to watch Oisin and Poppy, the yellow lab, playing and getting on so well. Poppy didn’t seem to mind Oisin playing with her toys at all. 🙂

The children think the world of Oisin as well as Poppy and play very nicely with both of them.

I am so happy to see Oisin has settled so quickly and I think that this has been a very good match for both humans and dogs.”
