Oscar Southwell

Sad News 9 October 2023

Oscar’s mum said, “We are so sorry to say Oscar went over the rainbow bridge yesterday. We’re devastated. He had been poorly with his rear end and couldn’t walk or wee properly. It was all very peaceful and we were with him. Thank you, IRR for bringing him into our lives for nearly five years.”

History

Oscar is a 7yr old male, microchipped, inoculated, castrated Golden Retriever. His date of birth is 2/8/2011. As is normal, he was thoroughly vet checked

PERSONALITY

Oscar is an affectionate, loving boy with a gentle personality

HEALTH

His health seems to be generally very good for his age.

SOCIAL LEARNING

TRAVEL:  He is happy and content travelling in a vehicle

HOUSETRAINING: Oscar is fully housetrained

BASIC TRAINING:   His basic training seems to have been quite good.

LEADWALKING: and RECALL:  Oscar doesn’t walk well on the lead but his recall is good.

RESOURCE GUARDING: He shows no signs of resource guarding

SEPARATION ANXIETY: He seems to show no signs of separation anxiety

ADULTS: and CHILDREN:  Oscar is very friendly with both adults and children.

CATS:  He seems to be fine with cats

DOGS: Oscar gets on well with other dogs

OSCAR’S DREAM HOME

This super boy needs a forever home with people who have plenty of love to give him and who have lots of time to spend with him as he moves towards middle age.
