Poppy Herring

In 2014, this gorgeous girl came to us with her sister, Izzy (who was then Queenie), from Ireland. She was aged 14 weeks (as of 13th August 2014).

She was slightly quieter than her sister and liked to sit by your feet waiting to be fussed. We think she is Retriever/Collie Cross (that tell tale flash of beige gives it away!)

Poppy, then called Petal, travelled to the UK in mid September once she has had her Rabies vaccination etc.

September 2014

Poppy has went to live in her Forever Home with Nicky and family and was soon getting to know Paddy and Levi, the other resident dogs.

October 2014 – Update from Poppy’s Forever Home

Beautiful Poppy has become a delightful addition to our family and has shown some beautiful characteristics. She gets on well with our other dogs and is gentle with our cat.

She is very calm for her age and enjoys meeting people for a gentle fuss. She is adored by all the family and enjoys playing with our children.

Poppy has started puppy training and enjoys meeting the other puppies there, she is learning her basic commands and being familiarised with different settings and scenarios she may encounter in her life.

She is still a bit hit and miss with her toilet training but I’m sure this will improve as her body matures. She sleeps well at night and goes through till about 7am. I can’t praise this little girl enough and we all just feel so lucky to have her.
