Rosie Tanswell

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

February 2020

Rosie’s mum Trudie said:

“We lost Rosie suddenly last February. She was always by my side. She was the most beautiful gentle loving elegant lady and wonderful mother to Ava and Moe right up to the end. I’m so glad she had a good few years with her pups including also seeing Barley and Bear too.

Thank you for giving me the chance to have her as a very dear friend.”

Below are some photos of Rosie and Ava, Moe and auntie Nikki.

SHE GAVE US A DELIGHTFUL SURPRISE (JULY 2015)

Rosie, a 7 year old female Golden Retriever was not yet neutered because of her medical treatments in Romania.

She arrived in the UK as planned and was getting her paws nicely under the table at Trudie’s when surprising news on Cassie made us check Rosie out too.

Sure enough, she had also smuggled 6 stowaways in her tummy. Trudie decided to bite the bullet and act as Rosie’s midwife herself which she did brilliantly with a little telephone advice from Pat, Cassie’s midwife, whenever needed. All the babies, despite the conditions their parents came from, appeared to be amazingly healthy.

We knew, from the dates, the culprit was clearly Bruce the Labrador so the pups were all Retriever x Labs which, no doubt, accounts for them all having the most wonderful temperaments and which meant it wasn’t difficult to find excellent homes for them all.

Apart from the lovely crossbreed babies produced by Rosie and Cassie, we also had a gorgeous black Labrador baby boy after a liaison with a 3rd girlfriend Heidi so, altogether, we ended up with 13 pups who we called  BRUCIE’S LITTLE BONUSES.
