Ruby

Originally called MELODY the beautifyl Ruby was one of the three puppies who were the accidental litter of a beautifully natured black l

Labrador bitch. Their father was unknown. On arrival in the UK, the pups were 8 weeks old (24.07.07) and all absolutely gorgeous babies. Melody has a sister called Maya and a brother called Freddie.

Here she is snuggled up to Kerry, her foster sister. Melody suits her as name as she loves to sing

UPDATE ON MELODY from KAZ, her fosterer

Melody is growing by the day. She has great curiosity about everything and thinks it’s great fun to bite Kerry and Molly’s tails from the safety of the crate. Both girls are taking this and Molly still lays near the crate so she can be played with again.

Melody loves to play with soft toys and on teething toys and loves to sleep on Kerry when she gets the chance. She enjoys doing this in car too. She hasn’t been sick in car with me but I’ve heard she has been with other people. She is happy to wear harness in car for safe journeys and when carried out.

I’ve carried her to a few new places to judge her reactions and she seems very confident with it all. She will need firm training as she seems the type that needs to be busy else can get into mischief. Melody has learnt to sit for treats by coping Kerry and rewarded with clicker too. She is responding well to clicker training.

Whoever gets this little girl will have a lovely companion 🙂

UPDATE ON MELODY

Just to say a big thanks for letting us adopt the puppy Melody who we have renamed “Ruby”.

She has settled into our family very well. She sleeps vey well, just getting up once in the night. We have had a couple of accidents where she hasn’t got to the back door on time but on the whole she is doing well. On Saturday we left her for the first time (for about an hour and a half) and Ruby was so excited to see us she wet herself on our return.

Ruby and Ginge, my cat, like to play but Jess is a little wary when Ruby gets a bit boisterous. Most of the time though they are fine. Ruby has been out on a couple of walks with our other dog and follows her like a shadow, she is doing really well and responding to her new name and sitting. Ruby is going to get chipped next Friday at the vets.

We would like to say a very big thankyou to BURNS for donating puppy food for our foster pups.
