Sonny (was Rupert) was rescued from a pound.

Personality
This stunning young chap understands basic training commands. He is very strong on his lead so will need further work to resolve this. He is quite lean and not particularly interested in food.

Behaviour with other animals
Good with other dogs and good with cats (he does bark at them, but makes no move to chase).

May 2014 – update from Sonny’s Forever Home

Just to let you know that all is well with our new addition to the family – we have called him Sonny which he appears to respond to quite well already.

He loves playing ball and actually out of all the retrievers we have had he is the first to bring the ball back ready to throw again! He is a handful being only 18 months old and full of beans but is very loving and he and Misty are quite happy together.
