Teddy Clueley

VERY SERIOUS WE THINK NOT!

Teddy is one of the 6 puppies born to Cassie on 1st May 2015. He is one of 4 boys, the others being LouisMurphy and Dudley. The girls are Peanut and Unity.

Sue, his forever Mum, says “Teddy is doing brilliantly.   He has now had his second vaccinations and his microchip and because he’s such a big healthy boy, I’ve been told I can take him out a week earlier than originally stated. When I went into the consulting room, the vet couldn’t believe he was there for only his second vaccinations and she said he looked about 4 months old!

Due to his fast growth, we are going to discuss his feeding routine in detail in two weeks’ time, paying close attention to the exact ingredients of his feed and the quantity and frequency.  She says he’s doing very well indeed but, because he’s clearly going to be a big boy, he should stay on puppy food for 18 months instead of 12.  He certainly loves his food.

He is almost house-trained.  Thanks to the good weather, the patio doors are always open and he knows the doggy toilet area in the garden and goes there.  However, when the doors are closed at night he hasn’t yet understood how to ask for them to be opened.  He’s soo good though – you never hear a squeak overnight and he hasn’t had an accident this week in the crate, which is his bedroom.

He is growing in confidence and hurls himself at all of us – my son, me and our Golden Retriever, Bumble.  Bumble is rather possessive about his toys with frequent rumbles of disapproval if Teddy runs off with something he has  but there is no follow-through so Teddy gets away with it every time!  When Bumble is asleep, Teddy jumps over him and on him. He even rolls about on him.  The other evening it was just wonderful to see him happily playing with my son. He’s tricky to photograph because he never sits still long enough”.

UPDATE AT 16 WEEKS OLD

Sue says “Things are going very well with Teddy. He’s unbelievably big with the ears of a Basset Hound (well, perhaps not quite!) the legs of a giraffe and the feet of an elephant. Everybody comments on how big he is but he has the temperament of a fun loving angel. He is wonderful and he and Bumble have bonded superbly

The photo competition is a great idea ….. I DO hope there’ll be a Naughtiest Puppy category, nothing staged but genuine “caught in the act” photos could be brilliant and so much fun.

Teddy sends his love xxxxxxx”
