Toby

Age: approimately 4

Sex: Male – neutered

History

Toby is approximately 4 years old and was rescued by IRR after he was surrendered to the pound.

Personality:
Toby is a lovely, exuberant, larger-than-life character who needs to be in a home where he gets lots of attention, stimulation and exercise. He would be good at agility, where the mental stimulation will help tire out his physical energy. He loves balls and will play for ages with a tugger toy.

Toby gets on well with other dogs, walks well on the lead, loves his cuddles and is very affectionate. He absolutely doesn’t like cats and will chase them given a chance! Toby seems fine with children, as long as he gets a fuss, he’s not bothered. He does get over enthusiastic with other dogs sometimes – he is a youngish boy and loves to play,
but he settles quickly.

Toby seems well adjusted, but like any true goldie he thrives on lots of love and fuss.
Toby’s Dream Home:
Toby will be a fantastic pet, but he is really a “one man dog” – he bonds very strongly with one person and will be their absolute best friend. He is active and full of beans and will be a great companion for an active single person who has time to invest in him.

Behaviour with other animals:
Toby has been all right with another dog in his foster home, but is keen to chase cats when he comes across them.

However we recommend that he is rehomed as an only dog.
