Vinny

HELPING OUT AGAIN

Sandie finds the word “no” hard to say when a dog is in trouble so, naturally, she couldn’t resist helping with the re-homing of Vinny, an 8 yr old liver and white Springer Spaniel who was living in Ireland.

He was not trained as a hunting dog and was only kept specifically as a pet. He loves company and his original owner was unable to provide him with his time due to work commitments. When his owner was around, Vinny became very attached and, in turn, very distressed when he needed to leave him.

Vinny loved a good long walk daily, loved to swim and to retrieve a stick from the water for you. Vinny was not used to the company of other dogs but, when he does meet them, he is inclined not to get too involved with them or otherwise he gets a little nervous.

He loves his belly rubbed and simply just to be in the company of people. He is used to staying outside in the garden but also likes to sleep inside at night. Basically, he only wanted someone to just hang out with! He was not neutered but his owner was willing to get it done if requested.
