Rupert Hoppitt

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

THE FIRST OF THE BROTHERS TO LEAVE US

(14.10.2005 – 6.3.2019)

AT THE 2014 PARTY

On Sun, 10 Mar 2019, Sheila wrote to say “Very sadly we had to say goodbye to our wonderful, huggable, old Rupert Bear on Wednesday 6th March.  As you know he had been living the life of a retired old gentleman for some time but, finally, all his legs gave up on him.

We were all with him, humans and canines and, as seemed very fitting, the vet was Irish!

Even with eight paws still padding around the house, it is so quiet as Rupert was spokes-dog for all.

We commissioned the picture from a local artist last Autumn so Rupert and Rory will always be together.

As you can imagine we are totally devastated.  Even from a tiny pup, Rupert was such a big personality”.

Anne replied “ We are so very sorry to hear that Rupert had crossed Rainbow Bridge. It is so sad the three are now two.

There are so many happy memories of when the boys played together at the parties.

I think the picture of the boys is lovely.

Love and hugs to you all.

From Anne, Alan and Alistair and woofs to Rory from a sad Jumble xxxxx”
