Syd Bishop

Gone to Rainbow Bridge

SUCH SAD NEWS (24.7.2019)

Lorraine told us that dearest Syd had crossed the Bridge the night before, on the 24th July. He had been ill for some time with a tumour but it was his legs that gave out first and made it clear it was his time to say “goodbye”.

He will be very much missed by Elizabeth and his IRR Lab friend, Axa.

History

Syd’s story was not an unusual one. In 2014, Syd was 6 years old and a very handsome boy.

He was fostered in Essex where he was neutered. His behaviour with other animals was, at the time, unknown but there was absolutely no cause for concern as he was a little star.

Syd had been surrendered to IRR with his lovely son, Woodie, because their family didn’t have time for them!

His fosterer said “Syd is a charming, extremely good looking boy and he is an absolute joy to have. His adopter is going to be over the moon with him.”.

Syd’s dream home

She went on to say “Ideally we would have liked to have kept Syd here with Woodie although we knew, even if rehomed as an only dog, then he would be fine.
