Cookie Cooper
Another of Kaleigh’s beautiful babies but who was Dad? It was a mystery as ORCHID was a little black puppy with an inch long white strip on her chest. She has very wavy ears and a longer coat than Poppy. She has beautiful deep blue eyes.
She has always been slightly smaller than the others but is very active and very sweet.
She loves to be cuddled and loves to play with the other pups.
Orchid is named after a flower, like her sisters Jasmine, Poppy, Lily and little Rose, whilst her brothers were all named after trees. She is one of the surprise puppies born to the very beautiful and very young golden retriever, Kaleigh.

Cookie’s Diary
First Week
Cookie’s settling in well. She loves exploring everything at the moment as you can imagine. I think she was glad when the car journey came to an end. She’s been very good going to the toilet in the garden, but of course sometimes on the puppy pads, we know it will take time. She finally went to sleep at around midnight then we heard her at 6:00 am so that was good for the first night. She was really pleased to see us then! We don’t need an alarm clock anymore!

Sorry I haven’t been in touch, Cookie and the wedding plans are keeping us all very busy!
She’s growing so fast as you can imagine.
When she had her second jab at the vet’s on 10th Nov she weighed 7 kgs, need to weigh her again as I’m sure she’s gained even more weight now. I can hardly pick her up. She’s enjoying her walks and is very curious when meeting other dogs and also cats and horses!! Can’t wait until she’s properly toilet trained, we’ve had a definite improvement since the first few days so I guess it will come with time.
We got the shamrock disc the other day, thank you.

Cookie went to the vets today as she has a slight eye infection. She’s also booked in to be spayed next week and have her back dewclaws removed. She weighs 22 kg now so the vet says we need to watch her weight a bit as they also gain weight after being spayed, etc. He said what a lovely good natured dog she is, which is always nice to hear.
She loved playing in all the snow yesterday and looked like a lovely snow dog by the time we got home! She loved eating it.
